About Me

Gretchen Eichenberg is a journalist with more than 25 years experience writing for newspapers and magazines, telling the stories of people whose lives and personal successes and struggles are woven into the fabric of their community in one way or another. Her strength and passion is finding and crafting the untold stories of ordinary individuals with extraordinary interests, artistry, courage and personal gifts.

Eichenberg also has experience writing promotional copy for marketing and public relations clients — and has a flair for capturing nature (and food) through photography. Currently, she also teaches journalism, advising the award-winning student newspaper of Vanguard College Preparatory School in Waco, Texas. Outside of work, she loves experiencing the laughter, cheers, chills and tears of life with her family — husband, Alex, and children George, 22, and Brigitte, 20 and a mischievous chocolate Lab named Luke.
